The student agrees to look after the equipment carefully.

The student agrees that all equipment will be transported in the correct packaging.

The student agrees to protect equipment from damage by rain, dust, sand, and other hazards.

The student will not leave equipment in an unattended vehicle.

  The student agrees to return the equipment in good condition.

 The student agrees that the cost of repairs to the equipment (excepting normal wear and tear) will be the student’s responsibility and the student will pay the full cost of replacement if it is not returned, for any reason, by the due date (referred to in the equipment check out form).

 The student understands that failure to honour this agreement may result in Ara taking whatever action it deems reasonable to recover the cost of the equipment.

Note:

Students are strongly advised to check with their insurance companies to ensure that the equipment will be covered for loss or damage while on loan.  Film Equipment Risk Insurance is highly advised with a $25,000.00 cover through Crombie and Lockwood Insurance.  The student is responsible for obtaining such insurance.
